INGREDIENTS
4 thick slices of brioche or white bread
2 large eggs
80ml whole milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp butter, for frying
4 tbsp Hazelnut Mellori, warmed slightly
Icing sugar, to dust
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Cut each slice of bread into 3 thick strips ("sticks").
STEP 2
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
STEP 3
Heat the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
STEP 4
Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, coating both sides, then place in the pan.
STEP 5
Fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp on the outside.
STEP 6
Stack the sticks on a plate, dust with icing sugar, and drizzle generously with warmed Mellori.
STEP 7
Serve immediately with extra Mellori on the side for dipping.
